The Other Sister

I can't imagine what someone would think of Amy Sedaris based solely on the video I've posted below. For somebody not acquainted with her bizarre uniqueness, nor her stream-of-consciousness appearances on The Late Show, what you're about to watch might possibly be jolting, in a way. Or maybe eye-opening.

Amy Sedaris is an accomplished comedic actress, author, sister of David Sedaris, and all around genital-obsessed freak show. She once pitched a children's book about an animal whose been skinned alive, and she dreams of creating a tv show wherein every week the hostess must overcome a great physical problem (like, say, having no legs) in order to cook dinner that night.

I don't know how or why Amy Sedaris is like this. Her brother David has a similar manner; they share the same appreciation for fringe, but David is a lot more neurotic and self-conscious than Amy is. You really get the impression, or at least I do, that this woman is fearless. She's not so much a human being as she is a force of nature, something that can't and never will be tamed. She just is, and for that, all we can do is watch her.
